Ticket Purchase Agreement – 

A Sorcerer’s Affair

By purchasing, allocating, or possessing tickets to A Sorcerer’s Affair, hosted by Bookish Lore Events, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of the clauses outlined herein, please refrain from purchasing tickets or attending the event.

 

Changes and Amendments

Bookish Lore Events reserves the right to make changes, revisions, or amendments to this Ticket Purchase Agreement without prior notice. Any updates will be reflected on our official website (www.bookishloreevents.com) and will be effective immediately upon publication. Such changes will also apply to previously purchased tickets.

 

Ticket Prices

  • Ticket prices are listed on the official event page and are non-negotiable.
  • All tickets are priced per person and are non-refundable due to extensive pre-planning and event costs.

 

Refund Policy

All ticket sales are final. Delays, venue access issues, personal emergencies, weather conditions, travel disruptions, or any other circumstances will not entitle the ticket holder to refunds, exchanges, or credits.


Event Cancellation or Rescheduling

In the unlikely event that A Sorcerer’s Affair must be canceled due to circumstances beyond the control of Bookish Lore Events, we will make every effort to reschedule the event. All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date. No refunds will be issued.


Ticket Transfers

  • Tickets may be transferred to another named guest up until March 25, 2026.
  • To request a transfer, please email bookishloreevents@gmail.com with your order details and the new ticket holder’s full legal name.
  • Tickets are not transferable to future events and will only apply to A Sorcerer’s Affair (2026).


Age Requirement

  • Guests must be 16 years of age or older to attend.
  • Guests aged 16–17 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult (18+) who will also attend the event.
  • Guests under 16 will not be admitted.

 

Responsibility for Tickets

Ticket holders are responsible for their own tickets once issued. Bookish Lore Events is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced tickets. Ticket holders must contact us prior to the week of the event if assistance with reissuance is needed.


Entry Requirements

  • The name on the ticket purchase must match the ticket holder’s valid government-issued photo ID presented at event check-in.
  • Any additional tickets purchased under the same order must check in and enter the event together with the main ticket holder. Guests arriving separately under the same order will not be admitted.


Liability

Bookish Lore Events is not liable for lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed personal belongings, nor for personal injury, illness, or financial loss that may occur during or as a result of the event. Attendance is at the ticket holder’s own risk.



Authorized Source for Tickets

Tickets for A Sorcerer’s Affair are available exclusively through www.bookishloreevents.com. Tickets obtained from unauthorized third parties may be counterfeit or invalid, and the organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to holders of such tickets.



Ticket Use and Restrictions

  • Tickets are for personal use only and may not be resold, copied, reproduced, or misrepresented in any form.
  • Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests, sweepstakes, or other commercial purposes without prior written approval from Bookish Lore Events.
  • Unauthorized use will result in ticket cancellation without refund.




Non-Redeemable Tickets

Tickets have no cash, credit, or exchange value outside of entry to A Sorcerer’s Affair.



Photography and Videography Consent

By attending A Sorcerer’s Affair, you consent to photography and videography during the event. Bookish Lore Events may use images and recordings for promotional purposes, including but not limited to our website, social media platforms, and marketing materials. Distributed media is intended for personal enjoyment and sharing only and may not be used for promotional or commercial purposes by attendees without prior written consent.



Prohibited Items and Behavior

  • Weapons of any kind, real or replica, are strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to firearms, knives, swords, blunt objects, cosplay weapons (including foam or plastic), and any item that could reasonably be interpreted as a weapon.
  • Unauthorized drugs, outside alcohol, and any illegal substances are strictly forbidden.
  • Disorderly, threatening, or obscene behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal without refund.




Dress Code and Code of Conduct


  • A Sorcerer’s Affair is a formal fantasy ball. Guests are expected to arrive in formal, semi-formal, or fantasy-inspired attire (e.g., gowns, dress suits, elegant fantasy costumes). Casual clothing such as jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers is not permitted.
  • Costumes are welcome; however, attire must be appropriate and respectful. Outfits deemed excessively revealing, offensive, or culturally inappropriate may result in denial of entry without refund.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior toward guests, staff, or performers will not be tolerated. Guests engaging in such conduct will be removed from the event without refund.




Chargebacks and Disputes

By purchasing tickets, you agree not to initiate chargeback claims or disputes with your financial institution. Any disputes must be resolved directly with Bookish Lore Events.



Dispute Resolution

In case of disputes between ticket holders and Bookish Lore Events, the decision of the organizers will be considered final. If necessary, disputes may be referred to an independent third-party arbitrator, whose decision will be binding.



Ticket License

Tickets represent a revocable license to attend A Sorcerer’s Affair. This license may be revoked at any time at the discretion of the organizers, with or without cause. In the event of revocation, no refunds or compensation will be issued.
