Tickets and Policies
Are ticket sales refundable?
No. All ticket sales are final. Refunds or future credits will not be issued for delays, venue access issues, personal emergencies, weather-related problems, or any other circumstances beyond our control.
What happens if the event is canceled or rescheduled?
If the event is canceled due to unforeseen circumstances outside of our control, Bookish Lore Events may, at its sole discretion, reschedule the event, issue partial or full refunds, or take other appropriate actions.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes! Tickets may be transferred to another person. To request a name change, please email us at bookishloreeventskc@gmail.com with the new ticket holder’s full name.
All transfer requests must be submitted at least 1 month before the event.
Please note: Tickets are not transferable to future events.
Are third-party tickets valid?
No. Tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party sellers will not be valid. Please purchase only through official Bookish Lore Events channels.

Event Experience
What is a Fantasy Ball?
A Fantasy Ball is an immersive themed event filled with dancing, music, and magical experiences inspired by books, folklore, and imagination. Guests are invited to dress in fantasy-inspired attire and step into an enchanting world for the evening.
Do I need to know how to dance?
Not at all! Dancing is part of the fun, but it’s for everyone — from complete beginners to seasoned dancers. Many of the dances are simple, social, and guided, so you can join in at your own comfort level.
Will there be live entertainment?
Yes! Each ball features unique entertainment such as live music, performances, and immersive surprises to make the evening truly magical.
How Will I Get My Ticket
Tickets will be assigned based on the Name on the order. Kindly ensure the name on the order matches your ID. If purchasing multiple tickets, ensure they other ticket holders enter at the same time.
Attire
What should I wear?
We encourage formal attire with a magical twist! Many guests choose ball gowns, fantasy-inspired costumes, or elegant suits. Think of it as a chance to bring your favorite storybook or fairytale character to life.
Are costumes required?
Costumes are highly encouraged but not required. If you prefer, formal wear (such as gowns, cocktail dresses, suits, or tuxedos) is always appropriate.
Can I wear masks, wings, or props?
Yes! Masks, crowns, wings, and other fantasy accessories are welcome. For safety reasons, real or fake weapons are not permitted — please keep props safe, lightweight, and event-friendly. You will be asked to return unauthorized props to your vehicle.
Food and Drink
Is dinner included with my ticket?
Dinner is not included. Instead, the ball will feature light appetizers, themed desserts, and a cash bar for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.
Will there be alcohol served?
Yes, a cash bar will be available. Please note that valid ID is required to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Can I bring outside food or drinks?
No. Outside food and drinks are not permitted.

Attending Solo
Can I come to the ball alone?
Absolutely! Many guests attend solo and have a wonderful time. The Fantasy Ball is designed to be a welcoming, social event where everyone can enjoy the magic — whether you arrive with friends or on your own.
Will I have someone to dance with if I don’t bring a partner?
Yes! Our dances are beginner-friendly and often rotate partners, so you’ll have the chance to meet new people throughout the night. You’re also welcome to enjoy the performances, food, and atmosphere at your own pace.
Is it awkward to come alone?
Not at all — in fact, it’s one of the best ways to dive into the experience! Many solo attendees end up making new friends and connections by the end of the evening.
Can I Sell My Ticket if my Plans Change?
Yes. Please make sure to email us to change the name associated with the ticket.
Can I Bring my Professional Camera
No. We will have professional Photographers and videographers at the event and all guests will have access to the photos and videos. Make sure you are following our social media @bookishloreeventskc.
